My contribution to WNO’s Occupation project (with librettist Tim Hopkins and director Margaret Constantas) has gone online – it is The Sleeping-Mat Ballad, inspired by this story about life in Hong Kong’s protest camps. A great deal more information about WNO’s project is available on their site, and (alas) the situation in Hong Kong after a couple of relatively quiet months, can once again be quickly found in the world’s news media.
