Keeping it Fresh

I'm due to be in Aldeburgh for almost three weeks, as a featured composer at the 2024 Aldeburgh Festival. I've been given very comfortable accommodation looking over the sea front, and will have to motivate myself to leave the beautiful views to travel inland every day to Snape, the centre of Festival operations. The town has also become rather luxurious, but the people keeping it real are the fishermen. They really do go out in boats and bring back fish, which they immediately sell. It's a most unusual thing to experience in the southern half of England, and the frying pan in our digs is going to see some serious action in the coming days.
