Really? in Germany

My 2009 song cycle Really? is a kind of cabaret act, using folk-oriented German texts, by J P Hebel and the Brothers Grimm. It's receiving its German premiere at Theater Magdeburg this weekend, sung by Rosha Fitzhowle. Since so much of my stage-oriented music uses German-language texts (mostly in English translation) this must seem to local audiences like "coals to Newcastle". Or, "carrying owls to Athens" as I believe the German phrase is.  However, when I visit performances in Germany, these days the historical authors I've set to music are just about as unknown there as they are here.

Also in German opera houses in the next week or two: the final performance in the two-month season of 'Achterbahn' ('Miss Fortune' in English) at Theater für Niedersachsen in Hildesheim; and a new production of 'Das Geheimnis der schwarzen Spinne' at Theater Regensburg. I wish there was a split screen version of me that could visit all these upcoming productions in beautiful German cities.
